Started in 2019, Nature Advances is a for-our-profit high-impact digital open access scientific journal focused on publishing work that appeals to a broad audience. Our goal is simply to advance our understanding of nature and then sell this to you.
As such, we will accept research from any field as long as we can either charge research institutions or you to show your work. We are incentivized to publish work that our readers find groundbreaking, novel, and outlier from other results. The more unreproducible the work is, the more we want it.
The editorial staff at Nature Advances is primarily interested in monumental original research, such as the rediscovery of calculus, unbelievably amazing electronic devices, or proving the Riemann hypothesis.
All submissions should be in letter format, which is less than 200 words. We do accept submissions longer than 200 words, but will charge per extra word. We have no limit on the number of references.
If you feel your results are worthy of us publishing, please submit your manuscript for review and we will determine if you can pay us open access fees.
As Nature Advances only started publishing in 2019, we do not have a 2-year or 5-year impact factor. However, we expect the research we publish to be of the highest caliber and could reasonably achieve a 2-year impact factor of >100, as Nature Advances citation policy is to cite all previous Nature Advances publications and we expect to publish more than 100 publications each year.
